Teacher Bio: Mariah Magness

mariah magness 230Mariah began her Irish dance journey at the age of four after being inspired by a performance of Riverdance. She initially started dancing at the O’Neill-James School in Falls Church, Virginia. However, as a military child, she moved frequently. Luckily, she found many homes in Irish dance studios across the country.

She began competing in Albuquerque, New Mexico with Celtic Steps, and later continued her training with the Drake School of Irish Dance in Montgomery, Alabama and Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

In addition to Irish dance, Mariah has a background in jazz and hip hop which brings a dynamic and well-rounded perspective to her teaching. Mariah has worked with dancers on developing technique, footwork, endurance & strength training, and flexibility.

Now based in New York City as an event coordinator, she is thrilled to be sharing her lifelong passion for Irish dance and aims to inspire the next generation of dancers with energy and heart.
