Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2025 NYC Irish Dance Festival a success!

We will be back next year with a bigger festival to celebrate the 25th year of the event!

 

12 noon-6pm today in Riverside Park South

Join us as we kick off NYC’s Summer-on-the-Hudson series! We’ll be in Riverside Park South all afternoon, rain or shine, with dance performances, music sessions, céilís, Irish language lessons, workshops, and more.

Next to Pier I on the Hudson River, end of West 70th Street, westside of Manhattan (enter at 68th Street)

LIVE Irish dance and music, with talks, performances, workshops, and general excitement!

This annual celebration of Irish dance features traditional and contemporary Irish dance from notable professional and student talent from around the region. Audiences can immerse themselves in Irish arts and culture with participatory workshops, music sessions, Irish language conversations, and social dancing for all ages, among many other offerings. The evening ends with a lively céilí for all, with live music!

A tradition for the whole family to enjoy!

Also, the Pier I Cafe will be open all day with a full menu and an extensive range of alcolohic and non-alcoholic beverages!

New this year:  We are partnering with Irish third-world charity Goal for a fun event that will take place along the entire length of the pier!

Caoimhe Nic Giollarnáith will teach an introductory Irish language class for complete beginners. You’ll learn greetings, vocabulary, and useful phrases associated with traditional Irish music and dance. After the class, you’ll have an opportunity to practice the phrases you learned in class and chat to your classmates in Irish. Tá fáilte roimh chách! All are welcome! Bio’s:

Caoimhe Nic Giollarnáith is an award-winning Irish language Adjunct Professor from County Kildare. She attended Irish language medium schools (gaelscoileanna) and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Galway with BA and MA degrees in modern Irish, literature and film studies. Caoimhe teaches Irish language, literature, film studies, and history undergraduate courses at Lehman College, City University of New York, and New York University. Founded in 1973, The Irish Business Organization of New York continues to lead the way in terms of business networking. For five decades, the IBO has created vibrant networks across the tri-state area supporting, guiding and enlightening waves of Irish and Irish American business leaders.
