Mallory Mulligan Wendt TCRG

Mallory Mulligan Wendt TCRG, brings over three decades of dedication to the art of Irish dance, having begun her training at the age of three. Her earliest steps were guided by Sheila Tully, with a formative foundation later shaped by the late Tim O’Hare, whose mentorship instilled in her a deep respect for discipline, musicality, and the expressive power of movement.

Throughout her competitive career, Mallory trained at the highest levels, including her final years with the renowned Trinity Academy of Irish Dance. She has had the privilege of learning from some of the most respected teachers in the world, including the McLoughlin family in Scotland, the late Sheila Hayes, Hilary Joyce-Owens, Jackie Kennedy, and Sylvan Kelly. Her artistic development was further enriched through the study of dance movement theory and energetic principles under the late Nana Shineflug, founder of the Chicago Moving Company.

A highly accomplished competitor, Mallory is a two-time Mid-America Oireachtas Champion and seven-time runner-up. She is a multiple World and All-Ireland medalist and consistently ranked among the top dancers at the national level. Her performance career includes appearances with The Chieftains and Riverdance, reflecting both her technical excellence and stage presence.

In addition to her dance training, Mallory has an extensive background in strength and conditioning and sports nutrition. She has studied under leading Poliquin-trained experts Dusten Nelson, Luke Leaman, and Francine Savard, as well as Olympic weightlifting with Tony Morales of Performance Training Systems—bringing a uniquely comprehensive and modern approach to dancer development.

Mallory began teaching at the age of twelve, assisting her own mentors, and later went on to lead her own school in the Chicago suburbs. As an instructor, she is deeply committed to developing each dancer not only technically, but as an individual—fostering discipline, confidence, and a genuine connection to the music.

She believes Irish dance is both a celebration of heritage and a powerful form of personal expression, where each dancer’s spirit can be seen and felt through movement.

Mallory is delighted to serve as Miami location director for the Niall O’Leary School of Irish Dance, where she brings her depth of experience to the development of dancers as both athletes and artists.
