Mercy Center Bangkok Annual Fundraiser

New York Irish Center, 10-40 Jackson Ave., Long Island City, Queens NY: 3 mins from Grand Central

Performance by the Niall O’Leary School of Irish Dance

Supporting the poorest of the poor in the slums of Bangkok. They have been rescued from a life of extreme poverty and abuse, and given the love here at the Mercy Center, that every child deserves. The kids arrive here under different circumstances, some are just babies, some are toddlers, little boys, little girls, and each needs to be loved and cherished. Here at this facility, the kids receive accommodations, food and schooling  and are prepared for the outside world. Most are Buddhists and are brought to the temple and are taught their own traditional Thai music and dance…Classes were set up by the late Professor Mick Moloney, one of the most influential scholars in Irish Studies and Traditional Irish Music.

Special thanks to George Heslin and staff at the NY Irish Center for again making this wonderful facility available to us.

All donations gratefully accepted. Tickets are approx $70 each – Seniors $50 Call or text Donie @ 917-723-7488

Tickets are $70 each – Seniors $50 Call or text Donie @ 917-723-7488

Mercy Center Annual Fundraiser

Saturday October 22nd 2022 @ 8pm N. Y. Irish Center, Jackson Ave, Long Island City, Queens NY.

In previous years, the concert was preceded by a reception kindly sponsored by the late John Browne of the Grandstand Bar & Restaurant, Elmhurst, who also passed away in the last year.

We will be honoring the memory of both Mick and John, two great men who in very different ways were very influential in their respective communities and are impossible to replace.

Special thanks to George Heslin and staff at the NY Irish Center for again making this wonderful facility available to us.

All donations gratefully accepted. Tickets are $70 each – Seniors $50 Call or text Donie @ 917-723-7488
