Teacher Bio: Greer Shammah

Greer Shammah was born and raised in Queens, New York where she began Irish dancing with the Niall O’Leary School at the age of 7. From there she started to dance competitively in feiseanna where she quickly reached championship level, winning many awards. She went on to compete in both the Regional’s and the World’s Irish dance competitions in solos and teams. She has also performed regularly in many different locations throughout the United States. During this time, Greer also trained in Ballet, Tap, Ballroom and Modern. She was apart of a competitive Modern dance team in 2005 that performed on Broadway.

In 2013, Greer started teaching with Niall at one of the Queens NY locations where she began taking Irish Dance. She also currently teaches dance and coaches a dance team for a well known National Based Non-Profit Organization. Greer is delighted to be able to share her love for dance with others.
