Teacher Bio: Kristina Varade

kristina-varadeKristina Varade is a dancer and assistant teacher with the Niall O’Leary School of Irish Dance. She began her Irish dancing career with the Lenihan School of Irish Dance in 1994. She subsequently danced competitively with the Kathleen Mulkerin School of Irish Dance until 2002, reaching CLRG Championship level, and joined the Niall O’Leary School as a student soon after. Since then, she has regularly performed throughout the Tri-State area and in Ireland. She has been teaching with the Niall O’Leary School since 2004.

In addition to her teaching duties, she has presented and published articles on Irish Dance and Cultural Studies at national and international academic conferences. Kristina is also a professor of Italian studies.
